Founded in 1947, the Association for Computing Machinery is the world's largest computing Society. As the UA Little Rock student chapter of the ACM, our mission is to be a resource for the academic and professional development of our members and to advance the interests of the field of computing within our community.
Our ACM Chapter provides a collaborative environment for students to explore different fields of computing, enhance their technical skills, and compete in various challenges. Whether you're looking to build projects, develop new skills, or participate in competitions, there's something for everyone.
We collaborate with the Emerging Analytics Center (EAC) and host workshops throughout the year to help students grow in their areas of interest. If you're interested in getting involved, feel free to contact us or fill out the Interest Form!
The UA Little Rock ACM Student Chapter started a tech donation drive in September 2020, receiving over 100 computers from generous donors. Since then, our focus has shifted to **restoring and refurbishing old machines**, allowing students to gain hands-on experience while making technology accessible to those in need. If you're interested in volunteering or learning more, reach out! If you or someone you know needs a computer, please reach out to Colin McNerny.
Our chapter not only attends events but also hosts our own! Some of the events we organize include:
We’re always looking to bring our members exciting opportunities, and we hope you're just as excited to be a part of ACM as we are!
